I just got the TCL Nxtpaper 11 Plus, and there's something important to note about it: I don't think it's possible to install APK files on the device. I've tried several APKs, and they all give the same error "You can't install the app on your device." I've tried:
  • Enabled app install from unknown sources
  • Turned off play protect
  • Disabled Google Play store
And the issue still persists. I've tried installing older and recent APKs. The tablet is running on Android 15. I've been able to install APKs on my Samsung devices with no problems; I suspect it's something to do with how TCL has configured this tablet.

Edit: I was able to install the APKs via ADB. There were some overrides I had to do to get the apps to install. Now I can enjoy my new tablet with my preferred comic app: ComiCat!
