Read it via Libby about a year ago and quite enjoyed it. Glad to pick up my own copy now. Don't expect to be able to find the sequels cheaply, though--from what I have seen they never go on sale.
I can second this, it was quite enjoyable. I haven't read the sequels yet though either. For me, reading this as an audiobook really helped. I have a hard time with names and hearing things spoken helped me.
