Since you need a large font size, what size e-reader are you looking for now? You can fit a lot more content per page if you go for an 8 or 10" model, but larger devices are also less comfortable to hold.

BookShare doesn't force fancy page turning. There's options to download as ePub, word, daisy and BRF (not sure what that is)
Surprisingly, I actually was able to get a BookShare book onto my Paperwhite by downloading ePub on my MacBook and using send to kindle page on amazon! It seems BookShare has no wait compared to the library, haven't used it enough to see about the selection.
I was able to CloudLibrary onto paperwhite buy sending as a pdf. Is this a long term workaround? I don't need to keep books, I read them and then return to library.
Now I use my phone to find a book on Libby and then have it sent to PW. Is that step shorter for the Kobo?
The size of the paperwhite is fine and good for portability. I usually read in landscape. B/c of my vision issues it's easier not to have to move my eyes further to the left/right and track the lines as I'm reading which would happen on a larger screen. I think around the same size is ideal.
I guess now it comes down to ease of use in something waterproof. Is Kobo easier to get CL or BS books onto it?
