Two of the series I follow just released surprise stories this week. YAY!
I just saw that Lois McMaster Bujold just published
The Adventure of the Demonic Ox at the normal places. This is the latest Penric and Desdemona novella, approximately 36,000 words and 139 pages. It doesn't say this specifically, but I think this is the latest chronologically as well. It was announced a couple months ago, but no release date was listed.

I'm waiting for Kobo to show it since Amazon will not let me download it to the version of Kindle for PC that I use.
This will be the next thing I read after:
Rapport: Friendship, Solidarity, Communion, Empathy by Martha Wells
This is the latest short story featuring Murderbot and was released yesterday after the season finale of the Apple TV+ show.
Per the
announcement post:
Quote:
It can be read as a standalone story for anyone who has finished Artificial Condition, the second book in The Murderbot Diaries.
