Question “You have reached the clipping limit” — I need a new solution!

I’ve been using Kindle devices for well over 10 years to read articles and blog post. I send them using the wonderful “Push to Kindle” service. I barely ever use it for reading books.

I use clippings a lot. 2024-11-17 I got the first “<You have reached the clipping limit for this item>” message in my My Clippings.txt. It seems it has gotten more sensitive with time and I now can’t read and highlight a single article without it pushing the message to the text file; and it’s making me furious!

I need to solve this ASAP. I’m ready to get a new device or start using the Kindle in a different way to solve the problem. Realistically though, I’m not going to have the patience to cable sync articles as I sync about 5–10 articles every day. I also want my future annotations to be saved in an open format. I loved the plain text setup on the Kindle.

Is there a solution out there?
