That's right. I've tried to keep changes to core KOReader very minimal, and keep the code base up to date. All the core functionality is implemented as a plugin, which I may try to push back into the main KOReader repo if there is interest from the maintainers.
The project might also diverge from KOReader where it makes more sense to have entirely separate installs. Or perhaps I can even do both – a version as a plugin for KOReader users and a separate project for others.
