I stopped buying from Kindle in November 2023, when the Kindle Rewards program ended the “Spend $XX, get $YY credit” promotions. Given the exploding nature of the points I was never going to accumulate enough to redeem and without the Spend $XX aspect, Kobo was always going to be cheaper anyway, if you bought discounted gift cards and used price matching.

Obviously buying from Kobo won’t work for the direct download types, but there’s not a lot of us at MR.
