No. Keep in mind that the Kindle DX is in pre-order and, per the Amazon website, "Kindle DX will be released this summer." There is no specific date.

Here's how a scam could play out:

1) Take a bunch of Kindle DX pre-orders at half price.

2) Keep siphoning off all of the payments as they come in.

3) Close bank account at the point the Kindle DX actually ships.

4) Disappear.

If you file a complaint, PayPal will attempt to withdraw the amount you paid from the registered bank account. PayPal will be informed that the account has been closed. You will receive a notification from PayPal that no funds could be recovered. You now have recourse to go to your card issuer to perform a chargeback but the issuer may reject that because you're beyond the time period allowed for a chargeback. That time period varies by issuer.

This is a type of scam that has happened many times with PayPal. Do some searching online and you'll find a lot of people left holding the bag.
