That error is permission being denied to read the Chrome browser cache.
I've just tried it with Chrome without problem, but there's an update available... Still works for me after update.
Assuming you are running both Chrome and Calibre as the same user, it may be that Chrome or some security program 'helpfully' restricted access to the cache dir.
You might be able to change the permissions on the file system.
Honestly, if it were me, try rebooting if you haven't already.
