I've uploaded a screenshot of the source premium mobi-file on mobi-reader:
The next one is a smaller mobi-file I found on my harddisk.
Nowadays there is a toggle to dis-/allow <br/> tags, so rerunning the script with the right toggle would be enough.
However, your version seems quite nice. Nicer, in fact. Care to share? Maybe via PM?
