I think I know what's happening. When I checked
the link of Discworld novels I got the same prices as you did. I also checked it from a browser connected to a VPN with an endpoint in Chicago, IL. Also the same prices. Then I switched to endpoints in a few different countries (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK), but only got those exact same prices when checking from the UK.
It appears that Jon checked from the UK and assumed those prices applied to people in the US.
