They have been sending me this deal every month or so (or one that is 99 cents/month for 3 months) ever since I cancelled my subscription 2 or 3 years ago.
It's not much of a deal; if you sign up for a year it's 149.50 so you are only saving about $15 over a full year, and after that you're paying more than the annual rate.
Perhaps Prime days will see a $99/year offer. I still wouldn't sign up because I still have dozens of audiobooks that I purchased that I've yet to listen to. In retirement I have no commute to listen to them with and I'm not so much into multitasking any more, and doing other things with my time.
