Reading the novel, The End of the Story, by Lydia Davis. That is THE great Lydia Davis, arguably one of the greatest translators of the modern era.

Her novel concerns the obsession her character has for a student who is 12 years younger than she is (but not one of her students). The novel is rich and deep, thoughtful, and 'obsessive' concerning its subject(s).

Lydia Davis is a GREAT writer of short stories, flash fictions, and short-short fictions.

She is an incredible writer, and I'm only 1/3 into my reading. But be warned, this is Literary Fiction.
