I suppose you ran the menu "Inkwell Setup" on Kindle and saw the step asking for the API key. At this step, simply type aeD4h-gH4SxGh2sMq-dHxc using the keyboard.

If you’re worried about mistyping it, another option is to complete all the configuration on your computer instead. You can find detailed instructions on the GitHub page: https://github.com/cdhigh/inkwell.
