I have the same question. I want it mostly for academic PDF reading and note taking.

- Side by side pdf landscape reading. Ability for note taking on one side. In portrait, page turning....not scrolling

- Have good file and folder management, so that I can categorize and sub-categorize hundreds of books and academic papers

- Setting for monochrome theme, or at least eye-friendly background color theme (yellowish background). Not sure if this would be an in-app setting or a hardware or Android setting?

Edit: I just came across an app called Readera. It might be the ticket, not sure. I will check it out https://readera.org/
