How To Preserve Paragraph Tabs in PDF conversions?

Maybe this should be asked in the PDF area but I use Calibre to do all my conversions to mobi format so....

The biggest problem I have is pdf files. Even if they are made so that there are no headings interrupting the flow every book-page they often have paragraphs that start off with tabbed spaces but the tabs themselves appear not to be embedded. So when converted the pargraphs all begin flush left.

If the pdf file has two line break between the graphs that is ok. But most pdfs simply line break and start the next graph. I have tried converting the pdfs first to text but there's just nothing to search for that is unique.

Is there any way that the Calibre pdf converter could recognize the beginning of the paragraph and preserve it? Thanks,

Neil
