Ever since I've started using De-ACSM, I've not needed to download eBooks with ADE. The problem with ADE is because it stores the eBooks in it's own library, it gets slower and slower to load as it has to read the library on start.
Only install ADE if you want to use to it view eBooks. If you want to see how ePub3 eBooks look as ePub2, install ADE 2.0.1.
