Recuperating from a visit to the dentist - where it wasn't the pain of the TREATMENT that got to me, but the pain of the projected $$$ BILL $$$ he thinks I'm going to pay for it!

What's really funny is I'd told him I am being downsized at the end of the summer, so please keep in mind I won't be able to make any long-term commitments, and he smiles and nods and says "Sure, I understand" - then hands me a treatment proposal for cosmetic work that I don't really need, where I'd have to pay almost $5,000 bucks out of my own pocket!

Thanks, I think I'll just go for the "Big Book of British Smiles" look instead ... ;-)
