Well, epub 3.3 structural semantics is much more developed.
Of course, the "main" semantics settings (sectioning content) can remain, but all these settings for section, aside, etc. require a completely new approach. New clips bar for new semantics and aria-roles is a good idea. Those who are not interested do not even have to display it, and it can also be hidden by default.
If these new clips are smart enough to properly insert/replace epub:type and aria-roles, that would be great.
