Sorry for bumping an old thread. I tried to use this plugin (ImgShrinker_v0.0.3.zip) with the latest version of Sigil (currently 2.5.1) and the Python script throws an error. I know just enough Python to be dangerous and found out the error was due to more recent versions of Sigil using Qt6, while this script uses Qt5. See more details here:

I changed one line of code to make this plugin compatible with Qt6, which is in all 2.x versions of Sigil (as of today) I believe. Not sure if this was the 'correct' way to update the code, but it works for me. I attached the updated plugin.
Plugin works great! I didn't play around with any of plugin options, but using just the default settings, an epub I was editing compressed from 27mb to 3mb and the images look good enough to me still.
