I'm guessing all those who sneer at and loathe romance have no time for that huge Yorkshire man with a beard like a rhododendron bush - Jane Austen. Especially since works like Persuasion (my 5-star fave) and Mansfield Park especially are mixed genres. I mean cutting social satire with soppy romance drivel? Ugh!
