I had some fun checking on this, doing traceroutes, pings from Linux and Windows, etc.

When I am getting timeouts or extreme slowness, it appears that for me, this issue start trying to get past core22.fsn1.hetzner.com on one of it's multiple IP addresses (213.239.254.225, 213.239.254.229, 213.239.254.233, 213.239.254.237, 213.239.254.241, 213.239.254.245, 213.239.254.249 and 213.239.254.253 are the eight I've noticed so far).

If I am logged in, I do not see ads regardless of the browser or device but that does not help with the slowness and timeouts.
