Hi, not sure if you ended up figuring this out but I spent a considerable time trying and found my issue was localized to the laptop I was using.... nftables (not ufw) had a bunch of rules which essentially blocked anything incoming. Might be worth checking there out if you are on linux. Can you/read the opds from a phone or other device first? Does localhost show that its working on your computer? Good way to check. I also had it work just once so it was super frustrating trying to figure out what went wrong because it felt like it was koreader(but it wasnt). Once the connection issues were solved on my computer instantly i was able to connect without reloading anything or shutting down koreader reloading etc. It should essentially just work. The a-ha moment i had was localsend (another application) never connected to my linux but every other computer could communicate in my network. So realized it had to be the computers issue not the network/router/calibre/kindle/koreader. Might be worth trying troubleshoot to see where the problem is coming from first, then work from there.
