Not really. The road that aligns with the quote entails people searching for information on their own instead of asking on a public forum to be given a link.

The information is out there. It's even here on MobileRead. That's how Sirtel found it. That's how I found it.

Instead, we have a parade of people posting requests for links, drawing attention to this "news," like sending up a series of flares. If someone is truly incapable of finding it on their own, then PM Sirtel (or whoever) directly instead of posting your request publicly.

Amazon has already blocked one method, and when the developer of another method posted about it, they said they figured Amazon would likely block it "soon" now that they've put it out there. This chain of "send me link" posts may contribute to a method's demise before you even figure out how to use it. Even the maintainer of the DeDRM plugin has gone underground, refraining from issuing an official new release out of concern that Amazon will simply slap it down.

Finally, to be fair, by starting this thread I have made it easier for Amazon to keep track of these methods. I now regret confirming the existence of new methods in the first post.
