Yes.
There was some discussion with my father about a couple of items, though. He thought several items on the throw away pile were perfectly fine to be donated. Seven year old drinking glasses that were starting to get scratched up and two recycle bins, also seven years old, which were dirty and scratched.
The donated stuff was mostly decorative things and two small light fixtures. All were in good/new condition, but we just don't have space for them.
Today's rant: my sister has discovered cross stitch patterns on Etsy. Note: she doesn't cross stitch so she wants me to do those for her. One: I don't want to do only projects for her. Our tastes differ and whilst I don't mind doing a cross stitch I don't really like the design of every once in a while I don't want to do those almost exclusively. Second: I don't do CS project which use metallic thread (I've read horror stories about metallic thread) and I don't do CS projects with beading (just seems to fiddly to me) and nearly all the patterns she like uses either one or both of them.
