djvumaker: pdf document from book ID #2 determined to be a markup-based ebook, not converting to DJVU

the plugin does seem to work under calibre-portable-installer-2.85.1

but when it convert the epub to pdf file, it thinks its a markup-based ebook which its not, any idea how to fix that, besides opening the htmlz and I think from microsoft edge opening it as a html after extracting htmlz file, then using the print to pdf feature, I am guessing creating ebooks that way, then using this plugin might work going to try that next.

correction using save to pdf feature in the html opened in edge, the only problem with this method, is it does lose the ebook cover.

but that method didn't work either trying again.

got from the save to pdf file this below.

djvumaker: pdf document from book ID #3 determined to be a markup-based ebook, not converting to DJVU

note ImagePrinter Pro is able to print to pdf or djvu but it puts trialware copyright marks all over the ebook so that method is no good, unless you own that software, as in its payware software.

also any pdf at least under 2x version seems to drop the ebook cover, which is no good too.

I think if you convert them calibre, but again the problem seems to be right now that plugin cannot read the format correctly in any case, maybe a older version of 2x worked, but I am not going to download a bunch of the versions, seems to be a problem with it converting pdf to DjVu format. I look into more later on. but it seems installing a older version is not exactly a good fix, as there seems to be something wrong with that plugin anyway.

Since this plugin ended with 2x version, did the auther of the plugin just gave up on it, or did the real creator of it is dead etc..

georgemk wrote this below, I know a bit late to reply to it, but anyway this person seems to think the auther left the building, I am guessing they think the auther is dead, is that true, or am I just reading into that comment? this can be read on page 1 on from here.

The plugin author hasn't been seen since "Last Activity: Jul 10th, 2016 08:37 PM" and the plugin was last updated when Calibre 2 was the go to version (22nd Mar 2015).
Also Calibre 5 is written in Python 3 while the earlier versions were in Python 2 so that is a big issue here.
Basically this plugin isn't compatible with Calibre 5 and the author left the building nearly 6 years ago.
