Sadly, the OneDrive link says folder empty.

Pretty much what would be expected. When you import the original, the metadata is likely read from the file. The exported copy (using save to disk with update metadata on copied file enabled so your new metadata gets written to it) would import with the updated metadata. When you re-import the original, you get the crap metadata back from that file.
