Certificate problem even on a new, clean install
Hi all, I am new to the forum but successfully jail broke and used Kindle 4's without problems for some years until the certificate expired.
I tried updating the certificate using the utility and by copying developer.keystore to /var/local/java/keystore/developer.keystore.
This didn't solve the problem so I used Kubrick Live CD to jailbreak and reformat a Kindle K4 non-touch to try a new install using the latest snapshot. Enabled airplane mode and used the following to install KUAL, running updates from the Kindle menu
-Update_mkk-20141129-k4-ALL_install.bin from kindle-mkk-20141129-r18833.tar.xz to root and updated from Kindle menu
-Copied mrpackages and extensions to root directory from kual-mrinstaller-1.7.N-r19303.tar.xz to root and KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2 from KUAL-v2.7.37-gfcb45b5-20250419.tar.xz to documents folder.
-Update_KUALBooklet_hotfix_v2.7.37_install.bin from kindle-jailbreak-1.16.N-r18474.tar.xz
-Update_mkk-20250419-k4-ALL_keystore-install.bin from DevCerts-20250419-KeyStore.zip
Still cannot run KUAL, still get the same error message.
Very grateful for any advice and help, this has really frustrated me!
