Thank you for your comparison, it was interesting.
IMO Kobo and Calibre are a match made in heaven - there are just so many things you can do automatically on your Kobo via Calibre (collections, series info, book descriptions, changing metadata, backing up and restoring reading status and so on). But I'm aware Calibre is not everyone's cup of tea, so YMMV.
