Chance has nothing to do with it.
Kindle for PC 2.4.1 already had a new DRM algorithm. Even though the key was still available back then from kinf2018 files, it was useless without cracking the algorithm.
Version 2.7 adds another layer to the DRM protection by better protecting the key using kinf2024. But even if that is decoded so that the key again becomes available it will not solve the problem that prevented DeDRM from working with version 2.4.1.
