Cool MacOS external Volumes

I recently switched to MacOS and after installing Sigil I noticed something strange. When I try to open files I don't see the /Volumes directory at all, and therefore external hard drives or pendrives.

I checked the system security settings, Sigil has full access to the drives, but it still doesn't show them.

What's even more interesting, I finally found a workaround, if I manually enter the location e.g. /Volumes/ everything "magically" works... Including the fact that when I go back to "/" "volumes" is already on the list. What's the problem?
It's a bit annoying that I can't use my drives normally :/

P.S. I'm using Sigil version 2.4.2 (QT 6.7.3) on MacOS 15.4.1
