Personally I'm not going to pay that much for a method that could stop working any time. I buy much less from Amazon than I used to and for those relatively few new purchases I can't download with Kindle for PC I use an old eink Kindle.
But overall I'm not going to shed any tears over Amazon. There are other vendors and other books.
