I've not used it myself, so I don't know whether or not it'll help, but maybe it's worth a try?

I do have the patch enabled and it's been a non-issue until last month when the pop-up, well, pops up every other day. I do the occasional sync as I use Pocket, so perhaps a config is being pushed out during the sync?
