My first tablet was a Kobo Vox in 2011. Great eReader, slow tablet. It eventually bricked after updating, so I switched to an Amazon Fire 7 tablet. The other day I was given an old Kobo Vox and since I still had a charger, I tried to resurrect it. Went through ail the steps, connected to my WiFi, updated, rebooted. But when it came to signing in, it got a "connection error". I believe after Rakuten acquired Kobo, support for the Vox was discontinued and it's no longer recognized. So it's a brick. Throw it back in the dumpster.
