My promo periods at Audible US, Canada, and UK were about to end, so I went to each site to use up my credits and cancel.
Audible UK didn't try hard to keep me, Audible Canada offered me another 3 months for half price, and Audible US offered me an annual plan for $86. I was tempted by Canada but declined, but I couldn't pass up the Audible US annual plan, so I am still in Audible's clutches for another year.
Also note: Audible UK showed an offer for "use 3 credits, get 1 free" on my Account Details page (where it needs to be activated)--which I didn't see because I used up my credits before heading to that page to cancel.
