No DX version ever had WiFi. They had cell/mobile. Some only USA CDMA and others European GSM 2G and 3G.

I have the B009 also, which is a DXG and tThe EDGE variant of 2G GSM still works here in Ireland, but that can only accept ebooks sent from your Amazon Account. I have that same last firmware.


Perhaps the USB port is damaged? It should automatically put up a screen about connecting. If not, try more cables and even a USB hub.

Have you changed your PC or upgraded / changed the OS? Sounds like you use Windows. Is it in Device Manager as "unknown"?

Mine is still connecting to Calibre on Linux Mint.

However, I've had many ereaders and I found the DXG the worst to read on.
