I posted this elsewhere, but Kobo has a deal through May 13 to buy/send a $50 gift card from their store, and get $10 back. Supposed to get a separate email with the $10 credit within 72 hours, mine hasn't shown up yet but it's less than 24 hours since I tried it.

I have been using credit card reward points as my book budget; back before the Kindle DRM mess it was extremely easy to just "buy with reward points" right from the book detail page. Now it takes a couple extra steps to check my reward points, buy the book, convert reward points to credit on my card. I buy from multiple ebook stores so just getting repeated gift cards is a less feasible option for me although I'll still grab one if I find a deal.
