This plugin does not provide a way to retrieve the information from your device. If you have a Kobo, there is a plugin that can do that (I don't know details, because my device is a Kindle). Also, if you use Goodreads, there is a plugin for sync it with calibre.
And, of course, you can fill in the info manually.

• Column for the number of pages in the book determined directly by PageCount
• A "combination column" predefined by default values, consisting of entered values that are gradually entered and changed.
This plugin only needs three* columns for it to work: reading date, page count and reading progress. You already have the first two. Now you need to create the reading progress column (you can do that directly in the plugin config dialog, by clicking the "plus" sign on the right, in front of the reading progress combo box). The reading progress is a percentage column.

*There is an optional fourth column: genre. This is necessary if you want to sort your books by genre and see the genre graph.

After setting up the columns, you can start adding books. You can add them in batch (they must have the same year).

For the current year, the books are updated in the database everytime you change the reading progress, creating a new reading record.

If any doubt persists, feel free to ask.
