I'm sure you can use a search engine as well as any of us , so I won't include ones where I have no idea at all of the book or author. So the only one I can recommend is Silvia Moreno-Garcia's "Gods of Jade and Shadow". I haven't read that one, but I read her "Mexican Gothic". Very good, very dark.

I'll also tentatively mention Amber Chen "Of Jade and Dragons", first in a series. I haven't read it, but it's compared to Xiran Jay Zhao's "Iron Widow", and that one is very good (and dark, and harsh), so if the comparison is good this might be something to check out.

(Naomi Novik's excellent Temeraire series (Napoelonic war with dragons) has "Throne of Jade" as its second book. So close, but doesn't fit your criteria.)
