Isn't Amazon a default plugin? I do have an Amazon.com plugin, but isn't that the one that comes with the program?

You know for the life of me, I cannot articulate exactly how "Amazon.com" and "Amazon" in the book details page is confusing.

IF there is a "mobi-asin" from a Kindle book import, automatically without even doing a metadata download the book details page has "Amazon.com" and the tag browser identifier shown when hovering over the "Amazon.com" link shows "amazon" even if there is NO specific Amazon id - it's just the mobi-asin.

NOW - if I download the metadata and pull an "Amazon" identifer which may or may not be the mobi-asin (isbn10 or isbn13 can be pulled) there is now a new "Amazon" idenfifier in the tag browser AND the details page. HOWEVER - if there is still that mobi-asin identifier the "Amazon.com" link in the details page STILL points to "Amazon" - and will no longer point to the mobi-asin. If I choose to drop the Amazon.com identifier showing in the details page, it will drop the "Amazon" identifier and still show the "Amazon.com" identifier.

I know I am bumbling this. I understand that "Amazon", "Mobi-asin" and "Asin" are all likely the same exact id but can easily be three different id's but in any and all cases a "mobi-asin" is ALWAYS an Amazon id because mobi-asin is the only id shown when downloading a kindle book from Amazon.

I give up. I can't even parse this and it isn't a huge big deal. It's just that both "Amazon" and "Amazon.com" point to the same "Amazon" identifier if there IS an "Amazon" identifier or "Amazon.com" will point to the "Mobi-asin" identifier BUT say it's the "Amazon" identifier. If there ends up being an "Amazon" identifier BOTH the "Amazon" and "Amazon.com" links in the details page point to the same "Amazon" in the tags browser and the mobi-asin is now ignored. Two identifiers in the details panel pointing to the same "Amazon" id in the tag broswer.

Again, I don't know where I am going with this, or if this even makes sense, but there you have it.
