Cut the wide end off the tube (not the cap end) so you can scrape it out with your toothbrush, if you want you can either leave the end open or close it with a clothes peg
Thinking of toothpaste went to the dentist last week, apparently now the recommendation is to not swill your mouth out after brushing your teeth
Think I will stick to swilling!
