The Kobo Libra 2 was on the market for quite some time and was bought by those who wanted to buy it (in fact, many of those who complain about its disappearance have a Libra 2). And those who didn't buy it at the time would have their reasons for not doing so. E-readers appear and disappear from the market. It's true that Kobo didn't offer a new monochrome model with similar features, but that doesn't mean there won't be one in the future. If the current colour model is doing well, there is no need to consider a monochrome model to meet specific needs. And it goes without saying that e-reader users have several monochrome alternatives from other brands in the 7" segment and several Kobo alternatives in other sizes. Reducing the world of e-readers to the Kobo Libra 2, however much certain users may like it, seems to me to be a bit of an exaggeration.
