Unhappy Failed to jailbreak

Last week, I discovered that Kindles can be jailbroken. It made me very excited, so I promptly bought one. However, despite spending several hours, I failed to jailbreak it.

My Kindle is Kindle Touch (4th Generation) running FW 5.3.7.3.

1. I factory resetted the device.
2. I registered it with my Amazon credentials.
3. I tried the WinterBreak method.

It is supposed to work on every device, right?

3.1. I disabled Wi-Fi.
3.2. I rebooted
3.3. I moved WinterBreak files (including .active_content_sandbox) to the root folder of my Kindle.
3.4. I ejected and unplugged my Kindle.
3.5. I opened Kindle Store and accepted to turn on Wi-Fi. Nothing happened, no Mesquito image.

4. I tried the K5 Jailbreak method.

Kindle Touch/PW1/PW2 5.0.x - 5.4.4.2 JailBreak. Plus FW 5.x USBNetwork. - MobileRead Forums

4.1. I moved the contents of kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip to the root folder of my Kindle.
4.2. I ejected and unplugged my Kindle.
4.3. I updated my Kindle.
4.4. I saw ****** JAILBREAK ****** on my screen. Yayx!

5. I skipped the installation of MKK.

According to Mobileread Kindlet Kit - MobileRead Forums, this is unnecessary in my case.

6. I proceeded to the installation of KUAL.

6.1. I downloaded KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 from MobileRead and moved it to the documents folder.
6.2. I ejected and unplugged my Kindle.
6.3. KUAL appeared on my device.
6.4. I tried to open it and I get “This item is not signed by an authorised developer. Please contact the developer”.

7. I did some research and asked ChatGPT for help.

It was suggested to either install MKK or to try KUAL Booklet + MRPI.

8. I tried installing MKK.

8.1. I downloaded kindle-mkk from MobileRead.
8.2. I moved Update_mkk-20141129-k5-ALL_install.bin to the root folder of my Kindle.
8.3. Ejected, unplugged, updated.
8.4. I tried again to open KUAL. Nothing.

9. I tried installing MRPI.

9.1. I downloaded MR Package Installer from MobileRead.
9.2. I moved its content to the root folder of my Kindle.
9.3. Ejected, unplugged, restarted.
9.4. I moved Update_KUALBooklet_v2.7.37_install.bin to mrpackages.
9.5. Restarted.
9.6. Nothing.

10. I tried ;log mrpi

10.1. Nothing happened.

11. I tried everything again.

12. I lost hope.

12.1. I despaired
12.2. I went to sleep.
12.3. I woke up.
12.4. I wrote this post.
