I must admit it is a minefield, and the recent crop of YouTube videos just add to confusion. After I followed the guidance in Spartan's post its all working. I still get the pop up when selecting the Amazon store after I installed Mesquito... but again, maybe the guide I followed was wrong for the old dinosaur kindle I have.
Time to RTMF on how to add books to the kindle. It never really got used that much given the limitations (need the light on to read it which annoyed the other half). I mainly used it to have 100+ I.T. Procedures in pdf at my fingertips when I was an IT Tech back around 2011...
