There are still lots of fixed-layout books/magazines that have old AZW4 format, and I was able to download them using very old 1.1x or 1.2x K4PC until last year (2024) too.
IIRC the previous cutoff for these books was somewhere around Oct 2024, not "before 2023" as stated in
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=361503 .
That was when I had to switch to 1.39.
It would be more interesting to know if you can download books after Oct 2024 or Apr 2025.
