So the thing is that this is STILL happening, as far as I can tell every time I'm converting EPUB to AZW3. And most of the time, I can't find any problem with the images or CSS.

Could it be an issue with my Kindle? I'm using an out of date firmware, 5.15.1.1.

Or is there some Calibre setting that I might not have calibrated properly?

I'd really like to not have to deal with this over and over again.

:edited to add: I should mention that images DON'T get compressed when I convert from EPUB to MOBI. Which is part of what has me pretty sure the problem isn't the files/original CSS.
