The reason is that water droplets really make using a touchscreen difficult, and one of the reasons I have a water-resistant ereader is to use it near water - swimming pool, spa, etc. Without the ability to turn off the touchscreen, this becomes difficult in my experience.
So: does the Kobo Libra Colour have the ability to turn off the touchscreen? Or is the touchscreen so clever that it's usable even with wet hands/water droplets on the screen?

I'm currently sitting outdirs. Had thought with the nicer weather coming I'd enjoy a read and my coffee. Of course, it's raining lightly! No issues with rain drops on the KLC causing problems while reading, although I do mostly use the buttons to move through the book.
Unfortunately it's not as warm now as I'd hoped for so probably heading back inside shortly.
