As noted in a post that is yet to be reviewed, the kindle will disconnect from the given BT audio device after a few minutes when it displays the screen saver. It also will do this when it attempts to go into its "suspended" state, which I prevent by setting com.lab126.powerd deferSuspend, as long as the device is in its screen saver mode and charging, or the battery level is > a certain percentage (the kindle will go in and out of its "charging" state based on its battery level when its plugged in). This means the audio device is getting disconnected every "deferSuspend" interval as well.
