It has been many times. Calibre is not designed to ALLOW use on a possible multi-user system or one with any delay (NAS, Network Share).

Yeah, being browser based of the UI is the issue I have with the Calibre server. If there was someway where the backend for calibre-server was the same, just the normal app could interface with it, that'd be ideal. That way you're not doing a multi user, or running int any of the other normal networking issues.
