Guess video and jailbreak instructions in general need to be updated to make it more obvious that users should turn off WiFi as soon as possible and use computer to check for presence of already downloaded firmware update bin file before restarting /
rebooting :P

I would advice (where possible) to always do all pre-jailbreak online connections using WiFi hotspot from a mobile phone set to 2G only network signal or whatever else is available that has slowest Internet speeds.
